- Inspect welded joints, materials, and workmanship for compliance with applicable codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, API, ISO).
- Verify welding procedures (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder performance qualifications (WPQ).
- Perform visual inspections before, during, and after welding operations.
- Monitor welding processes, parameters, and techniques to ensure adherence to approved procedures.
- Review drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
- Identify nonconformances, document inspection results, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, logs, and quality documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.
- Support audits, client inspections, and regulatory inspections as required.
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
- Thorough understanding of welding symbols, codes, and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with inspection tools (gauges, measuring devices, visual aids).
- Travel and overnight stays.
- Legally able to work in the US.
Valid Driver’s License.
