Responsibilities
  • Inspect welded joints, materials, and workmanship for compliance with applicable codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, API, ISO).
  • Verify welding procedures (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder performance qualifications (WPQ).
  • Perform visual inspections before, during, and after welding operations.
  • Monitor welding processes, parameters, and techniques to ensure adherence to approved procedures.
  • Review drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.
  • Identify nonconformances, document inspection results, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports, logs, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards.
  • Support audits, client inspections, and regulatory inspections as required.
Requirements
  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
  • Thorough understanding of welding symbols, codes, and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools (gauges, measuring devices, visual aids).
  • Travel and overnight stays.
  • Legally able to work in the US.

Valid Driver’s License.
