Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Travel Nurse – Orangeburg, SC (29118)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN (Night) — 13-week travel nursing contract in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Join a Level III Trauma acute care hospital as a telemetry nurse providing adult and geriatric care;
Epic EMR and telemetry competency required.

• Position: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift / Travel Nurse
• Location: Orangeburg, SC 29118 — Orangeburg healthcare jobs / South Carolina nursing jobs
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Level III Trauma (Med/Surg Telemetry Unit)
• Start Date: March 24, 2026
• End Date: June 23, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
• Schedule: Night shift — 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit: 3 East, 43 beds
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Patient Ratios: 1:5–6
• Charting: Epic EMR (electronic medical record experience preferred)
• Support Services: PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary

• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required (telemetry nurse / med-surg nurse)
• License: Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Skills: Telemetry competency required; ability to monitor, interpret, and act on cardiac rhythms
• Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Willingness to float within scope to like units as needed

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients with frequent assessments and timely escalation of changes in condition
• Monitor, interpret, and document telemetry rhythms; manage dysrhythmias and respond to clinical deterioration
• Administer medications and therapies per protocol, including heparin protocols and blood product administration
• Manage lines, drains, and devices (PIVs, PICCs/central lines, surgical drains, chest tubes, tracheostomies)
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and support services; participate in rapid response and code team processes
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and discharge planning
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR
• Float to similar units as required to meet facility needs
