American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a day-shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

• Acute care hospital setting on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:45a-7:15p
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
• Uses Epic EMR
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Tele competency required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, blood product administration, and central/peripheral/PICC line care

• Level III Trauma facility with 286 staffed beds
• Provide care for patients requiring cardiac telemetry, respiratory monitoring, and post-cardiac interventions
• Responsibilities include dysrhythmia interpretation/management, wound care, and rapid response participation
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• Block scheduling requests may be submitted but are not guaranteed
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis with candidates residing within 60 miles considered local
• Non-local candidates are prioritized over local candidates for this position
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response duties
