American Traveler is hiring an experienced MS/Tele RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 2 years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of an acute care hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45a-7:15p
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs and between like units or sister facilities
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Tele competency required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III Trauma acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• Skills utilized may include IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Cardiac monitoring responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams
• Respiratory care duties may include oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management
• Additional clinical areas may include wound care, isolation precautions, renal failure management, and post-cardiac cath care
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block scheduling requests can be submitted but are not guaranteed
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate, with non-local candidates prioritized
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation from the system before returning as a traveler
• During hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
