Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Medical Surgical/Tele RN to provide high-quality patient care in a new, ground-up unit. The nurse will monitor patients using bedside equipment and coordinate with a dynamic healthcare team during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' conditions using telemetry equipment, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
• Administer medications and treatments following hospital protocols and patient needs.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and respond accordingly to patient status changes.
• Document patient care accurately in the Epic electronic charting system.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and hurricane season protocols.

Qualifications:

• Current SC or Compact RN license in hand prior to start date.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry, with proficiency in telemetry interpretation.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSST certification preferred.
• Ability to float within scope to meet unit needs and work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Experience working in community hospital settings is advantageous.
