Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

The Medical Surgical/Tele RN Night shift is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, interpreting dysrhythmias, and collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, bedside alarms, and telemetry to detect changes in patient status.
• Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias and other telemetry findings promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic charting systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Active SC RN license or Compact license with proof of application.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in MS/Tele, telemetry, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Previous experience working in a community hospital setting is a plus.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet staffing ratios of 1:6.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
