American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and telemetry competency on night shifts.

• Night shift position working 3x12‑hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a 286‑bed acute care hospital (Level III Trauma)
• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Every other weekend required
• No on‑call responsibilities
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Charting performed in Epic
• Parking is provided at no cost
• Royal blue scrubs required

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license in hand prior to start; pending SC license may be considered
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry competency required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required

• First‑time travelers accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non‑local candidates are prioritized
• Local candidates may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Online modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
