Registered Nurse Medical Surgical​/Tele

Job Summary:

The Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a community hospital setting. This role involves managing patient needs on a 3x12 day shift schedule, ensuring quality care within a level III trauma unit.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans tailored to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications, and IV therapies, and perform specialized procedures as required.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, including telemetry competencies and community hospital standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent, relevant medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience.
• Require BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH certification preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Be willing to float within scope between units or sister facilities.
• Have previous experience with Epic charting system and trauma level III environments.
