American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a night shift acute care position requiring 2+ years of emergency room experience and Epic proficiency.

• Emergency Department at an acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
• General ED serving combined adult/pediatric population
• Patient ratios based on acuity, with 1:4 experience preferred
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7p-7a)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to meet facility and department needs, including sister facilities
• No on-call requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required
• AHA certifications only: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS required
• CPI and TNCC certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with blood product administration and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience caring for ventilated patients and interpreting ABGs
• Experience with IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and interpreting cardiac monitoring
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage
• Arterial line management, central line care, procedural sedation monitoring, and neuro-trauma experience preferred
• Social Security number and driver's license required for consideration

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient presentations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
• Facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified center
• Scrub color requirement:
  Royal Blue
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers accepted, provided they have emergency room experience
• Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for one year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis, though non-local candidates are prioritized
• Radius rule requires candidates to live outside 60 miles for standard travel consideration
• RTO must be submitted and approved at time of offer, with approval based on facility needs
• Facility may cancel up to one shift per two weeks
• During hurricane season (June through November, peaking August-September), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
