Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room RN is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to acutely ill and injured patients in a busy emergency department. They will work 3x12 night shifts, ensuring patient needs are met efficiently while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care based on individual needs and acuity levels.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following facility protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, effective patient management.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly in the Epic electronic health record system.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly, demonstrating strong critical thinking and clinical skills.
• Float within scope to meet departmental needs and support other units as required.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of recent ER nursing experience.
• Hold a valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and familiarity with emergency care protocols.
• Be able to work 3x12 night shifts, including every other weekend, with flexibility to float.
• First-time travelers with ER experience are accepted.
