Security Officer Armed - Healthcare
Location:
Orangeburg, SC
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
- Support medical facility operations during high-traffic periods, visitor interactions, and/or urgent situations while maintaining professionalism and following all applicable post orders and armed post guidelines.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
