Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Armed - Site Response in Orangeburg, SC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns with professionalism, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, critical situations, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry to restricted areas, helping to support a controlled environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
