Bryan’s Fuel is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Fuel Sales Representative! In this role, you will develop your expertise and knowledge to contribute to the ongoing efforts of Bryan’s Fuel to deliver care to its customers and the community. This position will report to the Fuels Manager and President and will be responsible for selling Commercial and Home Heating Fuels.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and grow fuel sales by providing tailored fuel solutions to both residential and commercial customers. The Fuel Sales Representative will visit customer sites to assess tank requirements, fuel usage, and volume needs, and will work with customers to recommend appropriate solutions and pricing.

Responsibilities
  • Sell fuel products to both residential and commercial customers, including propane, furnace oil, diesel, and gasoline.
  • Conduct customer site visits to assess fuel requirements, tank needs, and overall usage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers, grounded in trust, integrity, and shared values.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and retention of the company’s fuel customer base.
  • Collaborate with the President, Fuels Manager, and Sales Manager on strategic decisions related to pricing, purchasing, fixed‑price programs, bidding opportunities, and market positioning.
  • Develop a strong understanding of fuel industry fundamentals, including market dynamics, supply considerations, and customer needs.
  • Manage customer inquiries with excellent customer service, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Leverage the company’s CRM system to track sales activities, analyze customer fuel usage, maintain accurate records, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and grow customer relationships.
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of sales experience required; experience in fuel or energy sales is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently, with strong organizational and time‑managing abilities.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and general comfort with digital tools.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with customers in the farming, trucking, or construction sectors is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of fuel industry fundamentals or a willingness to quickly develop industry knowledge.
  • Professional, energetic, and positive approach with a high level of integrity and initiative.
  • Ability to confidently navigate sales conversations, overcome objections, and close opportunities.
