Overview

Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks an Admissions and Onboarding Specialist for a part‑time, non‑union, non‑exempt, non‑benefits‑eligible position. The candidate will work 19.5 hours per week on campus and will serve as the first point of contact for prospective and returning students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Admissions Center services to support recruitment and onboarding of potential students.
  • Serve as first point of contact and information resource for prospective students, parents, and key stakeholders regarding enrollment processes, registration, financial aid, and general college information.
  • Respond to in‑person, email, live chat, phone, and mail communication with prospective and returning students.
  • Assist students with completion of onboarding steps, including admissions application, orientation, placement, and transfer credit evaluation.
  • Provide technical support for student systems (my Clackamas, student email, Navigate) and act as advocate for technology issues.
  • Refer students to support services such as Veterans, disability, counseling, and other resources.
  • Manage data entry and maintain student records in the college’s integrated database and CRM system.
  • Create and manage correspondence, reports, forms, and tables related to student records.
  • Support campus tours, recruitment events, and on‑campus recruitment efforts.
  • Assist and lead on‑campus recruitment events and provide event planning support.
  • Assist Admissions Center peer assistants, work‑study students, and volunteers as needed.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, agencies, and the public.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.
  • Participate in college committees and ongoing training and meetings as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with FERPA and other applicable standards.
  • Communicate with speakers of languages other than English using translation tools.
Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent and at least 6 months related work experience.
  • Knowledge of higher education admissions, registration and financial aid processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computers, word processing software, spreadsheets, database systems, and standard office software.
  • Ability to exemplify integrity, customer‑service orientation, cultural competency, trustworthiness, flexibility, and a willingness to change.
Working Conditions
  • Requires minimal dexterity for assembling or repairing objects; frequent use of office equipment.
  • Requires minimal physical effort such as lifting and carrying; movements are not difficult.
  • Work environment is well protected with virtually no hazards.
