- We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees, including mental health coverage.
- The hourly equivalent for this position is $27.49 - $42.65, and the annual salary for this position is $57,183 - $88,708.

- OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job.
- In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the fourth step of the salary range, depending on experience.

Location Highlights Oregon City, Oregon, rests on the Willamette River southeast of Portland. It is part of the Portland Metropolitan Area (along with Beaverton, Gresham, Hillsboro, and Vancouver, WA). Oregon City was the first capital of Oregon prior to the creation of the Oregon Territory in 1848. Before settling on Salem in 1864, the capital was moved several times to several different cities.
It is also the end point of the Oregon Trail. Oregon City has the only “vertical street” in the nation, Elevator Street. Activities include museums, historic buildings, and over 22 city parks, including Clackamette Park at the confluence of the Willamette and Clackamas rivers. Oregon City is also home to Willamette Falls, the largest waterfall by volume in the Pacific Northwest.
Highlights
- In this role, you will support the judge by performing data entry, updating information within the case management system, and reviewing complex files to determine next steps.
- Compose letters, prepare correspondence and legal documents, and review content for accuracy, completeness, and grammar.
- Schedule court dockets and appearances, manage the judge’s calendars, make travel arrangements, reserve meeting rooms, and arrange for court interpreters.
- Gather information, conduct limited research, and create formal presentation materials.
- Prepare the courtroom for the day’s proceedings.
- When court is in session, you will operate electronic and digital recording equipment, keep a log of events, perform real‑time data entry, prepare a variety of forms and judgments, and provide technical assistance.
- Support pro se litigants and respond to complaints and requests for information from attorneys, litigants, agencies, and the public.
- Train and mentor new staff and provide coverage during absences as needed.
- Participate in statewide, OJD‑wide, and local committee meetings, during which you will recommend improvements to court processes and procedures and act as a local OJD liaison.
