Licensed Substitute Teacher

Essential Responsibilities

• Execute Lesson Plans:
  Deliver instruction as outlined by the absent classroom teacher across various subject areas.
• Classroom Leadership:
  Maintain structural routines, establish positive student rapport, and foster an inclusive, equitable environment.
• Student Safety:
  Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and common areas while adhering to District safety policies.

• Full TSPC Certification
  
  Required:
  
  Applicants must hold an active certified teaching license issued by the Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC).
  • Accepted license types include:
    Preliminary, Professional, Reciprocal, Restricted Sub Teaching (RSTL) or standard Substitute Licenses.
  • Please note:
    
    Those seeking district sponsorship to obtain a license are not eligible for this pool.
• Clackamas ESD Registration:
  Must be registered and cleared through the regional Clackamas Education Service District substitute pool.
• Mandatory Training:
  Verification of completion of the 5 mandatory training modules.

• Daily Rate: $260.00 per full day (half-day rates will be prorated accordingly).
• Long-Term Assignment Rate:
  Substitutes remaining in the same classroom assignment for more than 10 consecutive days will transition to a higher rate of $303.00 per full day, starting on the 11th consecutive day.
• Schedule:
  
  Day-to-day, on-call options based on your personal availability via our automated dispatch system.
