Position: Mental Health Specialist 2 (licensed)
Annual Pay Range: $89,272.08 – $
Hourly Pay Range: $42.92 – $54.29
Bilingual Spanish/English skills are required. An additional 5% of base compensation is added to pay.
Health Centers - Behavioral Health provides licensure supervision for employees who have completed a graduate degree in a behavioral health related field and are actively pursuing licensure.
Group supervision is available for CADC hours for those on a CADC track.
Clackamas County's Health Centers are Federally Qualified Health Centers.

Clackamas County Health Centers is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed mental health and substance abuse clinician to join the Adult Outpatient Treatment Team. The clinician will provide advanced-level professional treatment and program services to individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues, primarily servicing Medicaid, Medicare, and uninsured populations.
RequiredMinimum Qualifications
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as established by the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO) and Oregon Administrative Rules.
- Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work, behavioral science, or counseling.
- Fluency in Spanish/English (bilingual skills to be validated at interview).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- Successful completion of the credentialing process.
- Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) I, II, or III.
- Experience with Evidence-Based Treatment Practices.
- Experience working with adults with mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Experience facilitating therapy groups for adults.
- Ability to perform concurrent documentation/charting with clients.
- Post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
- Criminal history check, including national or state fingerprint records, may be required.
- Conduct interviews and assessments to gather information on mental health, substance use, trauma, and functional impairments.
- Develop and implement service plans, determine treatment and care needs, and connect consumers with appropriate services and resources.
- Monitor client progress, document treatment in electronic case records, and complete program-related assignments.
- Coordinate with internal and external health care providers and community agencies to obtain services and support client needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy and other therapeutic interventions to meet client treatment goals.
- Deliver crisis intervention services, including pre-admission screening, crisis intervention, and brief crisis counseling.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and case managers to evaluate, treat, and plan appropriate care for clients.
