Practice Description
Locum Hematology Oncology provider needed.
Hours & ScheduleFull‑time coverage:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (includes a 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm lunch break). The schedule includes pre‑charting, clinic duties, and additional charting time.
- Field calls during clinic time as part of regular hourly responsibilities.
- Manage a panel of established patients and take on new patients.
- Provide infusion care in the same suite, answering treatment protocol questions from APPs or nurses.
- Respond to any patient reactions and manage urgent situations until the rapid response team arrives.
- Field patient questions; triage typically begins with NPs and then proceeds to physicians.
- Sign chemotherapy orders; nursing staff administer medication.
- Provide support to nurses with questions and react to patient reactions in the infusion section.
- Have a low likelihood of performing bone marrow biopsies.
- Maintain required privileges for a hospital‑based practice.
- Active OR license and OR DEA number.
- Board certified in the relevant specialty.
- BLS certification.
