The Part-Time Shower Operator supports the daily operation of Love One’s mobile shower services at TFH Day Center. This position is responsible for setting up and taking down the shower cart, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, assisting participants with supplies needed for showers, and coordinating with the Day Center team to maintain an organized and efficient shower schedule.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, organized, and comfortable working directly with individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–2:00 PM Location: TFH Day Center
Key Responsibilities- Set up and break down the shower cart and related equipment daily
- Clean and sanitize shower units between participant use
- Ensure towels, hygiene items, and other shower supplies are stocked and available
- Welcome and assist participants accessing shower services
- Work collaboratively with the Day Center team to maintain an orderly shower list and participant flow
- Monitor supplies and communicate inventory needs to supervisors
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and trauma-informed environment
- Follow all organizational health, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Support overall Day Center operations as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable and punctual with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with vulnerable populations in a respectful and compassionate manner
- Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment as needed
- Previous experience in human services, shelters, outreach, or customer service preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors or in varying weather conditions when necessary
