Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The position involves floating between units as needed. On‑call may be required during low census periods. Weekends are required every other weekend. The expected patient ratios follow established staffing standards. The facility has a total of 14 beds in the unit. We admit babies greater than 35 weeks gestation.
Patient diagnoses include gestational hypertensives, pre‑eclampsia, and low‑risk patients. We adhere to AWHONN staffing standards. The nurse will have responsibilities that include assisting with high‑risk deliveries, postpartum care, and patient education on various topics. Candidates should possess strong skills in neonatal assessment and resuscitation. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including various health professionals. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Travelers may be expected to float to nearby facilities if necessary. Please prepare for potential assignments that may require flexibility.
