Quality Control Systems Manager

Location:

Oregon City, OR Pay: $33-$35+ DOE

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Who We Are:

Opti Staffing is partnering with a company that specializes in the highest-quality HPLC, UHPLC, and LC/MS analytical products. They are looking for an experienced Quality Control Systems Manager to oversee and improve quality control and quality assurance systems within their manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve quality control policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Monitor quality control and inspection processes throughout manufacturing.
  • Verify raw materials, purchased components, in-process materials, and finished products meet specifications.
  • Review inspection results, test data, production information, and quality trends.
  • Identify quality problems and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead or participate in root-cause investigations involving nonconforming products or processes.
  • Establish inspection, sampling, testing, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain SOPs, quality manuals, work instructions, and other controlled quality documents.
  • Prepare reports related to nonconformance, inspection results, corrective actions, root-cause investigations, and quality trends.
  • Monitor critical points within manufacturing processes and establish appropriate quality controls.
  • Coordinate product testing and inspection activities throughout production.
  • Support the development and review of product specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure quality documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained according to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate quality requirements and concerns to production personnel, management, suppliers, customers, and other applicable parties.
  • Train and provide guidance to employees on inspection methods, quality procedures, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Supervise or provide direction to quality inspectors, technicians, laboratory personnel, and other quality staff.
  • Evaluate inspection methods, testing equipment, technologies, and quality-control techniques.
  • Coordinate the selection and implementation of inspection and measurement equipment.
  • Participate in supplier and contractor quality activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process capability, efficiency, and consistency.

  • Experience with corrective actions and root-cause investigations.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across production, engineering, laboratory, and management teams.

  • Proven ability to identify quality issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ability to make well-supported quality decisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate quality expectations clearly.
  • Ability to maintain an effective, practical quality system that supports both product quality and efficient manufacturing.
Preferred:
  • Experience with statistical analysis.
  • Experience with quality-management systems.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality tools.
  • Experience supervising or directing quality inspectors, technicians, or laboratory personnel.
  • Experience with in analytical, laboratory, or precision manufacturing environments.
