About the RoleOptimize Technologies is seeking a Quality Control Systems Manager to lead, maintain, and continuously improve the quality systems that support our manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role that works closely with manufacturing, engineering, inspection, laboratory personnel, suppliers, and management. The Quality Control Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring that raw materials, purchased components, manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and finished products meet established specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards.
The right candidate will be comfortable working at both the system and production levels: maintaining effective quality procedures and documentation while also investigating problems, reviewing data, supporting manufacturing, and helping prevent recurring quality issues.
Our goal is a quality system that is rigorous, practical, and supports both product quality and efficient manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve quality control and quality assurance policies, procedures, and systems.
- Monitor quality and inspection activities throughout manufacturing, including incoming materials, purchased components, in-process product, and finished goods.
- Review inspection results, test data, production information, and quality trends to identify potential product or process issues.
- Lead and participate in investigations involving nonconforming products or processes, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
- Establish appropriate inspection, sampling, testing, acceptance, and documentation requirements.
- Maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, specifications, quality records, and other controlled documents.
- Work closely with manufacturing and engineering to identify critical process controls and improve product quality, process capability, consistency, and efficiency.
- Support the development and review of product specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate product testing and inspection activities and evaluate inspection methods, measurement equipment, and quality-control techniques.
- Support supplier and contractor quality activities, including communicating quality requirements and resolving deficiencies.
- Provide training and guidance to employees regarding inspection methods, quality procedures, documentation, and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to quality inspectors, technicians, laboratory personnel, and others involved in quality activities.
- Communicate quality requirements and concerns clearly to manufacturing personnel, management, suppliers, customers, and other applicable parties.
The Quality Control Systems Manager has the authority to stop or place production on hold when significant product quality or compliance concerns are identified.

Successful candidates should have:- Experience in manufacturing quality control, quality assurance, or quality systems.
- Experience managing, maintaining, or coordinating a quality system.
- Practical experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, process improvement, and nonconformance management.
- Experience interpreting product specifications, drawings, inspection requirements, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of inspection, testing, measurement, and quality-control methods.
- Ability to analyze technical, inspection, and manufacturing data and identify meaningful trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across manufacturing, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers.
- Leadership experience and the ability to train, guide, and develop employees.
- Strong judgment, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
A bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, industrial technology, or another related technical field is preferred.
