Pay and BenefitsAnnual Pay Range: $58,549.82 - $73,699.88
Hourly Pay Range: $28.148952 - $35.432637
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position. This position is classified as a Building Maintenance Specialist.

Clackamas County's Facilities Management Division is seeking a skilled and versatile Construction Maintenance Specialist to join our Construction Division team. In this role, you will apply your skills to perform a variety of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks that keep our county's facilities safe, functional, and welcoming.
As a Construction Maintenance Specialist, you will perform construction, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs of county buildings and grounds. You will use your skills across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, concrete, roofing, and grounds maintenance. In this role, you will inspect buildings and grounds to identify repair needs, document conditions, and plan and complete the necessary work. You will install and repair systems such as drop ceilings, sheetrock, siding, and modular furniture, while also providing facilities support to county departments.
In addition, you will monitor service contractors' work and help lead, train, and guide community service workers, temporary employees, and volunteers.
The ideal candidate for this position has broad trade experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, concrete, roofing, and grounds maintenance. This person is a problem solver who can diagnose building issues and complete repairs efficiently. The successful candidate communicates effectively, works well with staff and contractors, and is dependable in responding to after‑hours emergencies. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality are essential.
