Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's team in Tigard, Oregon on a contract basis. In this role, you will handle essential accounting tasks such as managing invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accurate data entry. This position requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining financial records with precision.
Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including tracking and reconciling transactions.
- Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records and support reporting needs.
- Generate aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the billing team to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by handling billing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and Outlook to organize and communicate financial information effectively.
- Support the accounting team in maintaining up-to-date records and preparing for audits.
- Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial data.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Demonstrated ability to process invoices and payments accurately.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook for financial analysis and communication.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide responsive and detail-oriented billing customer service.
