Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Milwaukie, Oregon. Our client is needing additional support for 1-2 months and you'll be utilizing your expertise in managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of accounts payable processes, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices promptly and accurately on a daily basis.

- Handle weekly payments to subcontractor installers with precision.

- Verify inventory invoices against system receipts and vendor packing lists to ensure proper matching.

- Review and approve expense requests in adherence to company policies.

- Execute payment disbursements in a timely and accurate manner.

- Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts related to accruals and vendors.

- Identify and report significant changes in expenses and disbursements to management.

- Provide support with various clerical or administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements - Proficiency in account coding and general accounting functions.

- Hands-on experience in accounts payable processes.

- Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment systems.

- Strong ability to reconcile accounts accurately and efficiently.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

- Solid understanding of financial policies and procedures.

- Experience with 3PL processes is highly desirable.
