Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support the accuracy of the company's financial records. This role is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close activities, and providing financial reporting support. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in a timely manner.
- Record journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance.
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and account analysis.
- Prepare routine financial reports and assist with variance analysis.
- Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and audits.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking.
- Monitor and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Support outside accountants with tax preparation, financial reviews, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.
- Assist in maintaining internal controls and improving accounting processes.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in an accrual-based environment using an ERP or accounting software system.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, and other data analysis functions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
