Responsibilities
- Utilizes knowledge of the Project's programs and operations, rules and processes to perform specialized duties in assigned functional and program areas involving a wide variety of problems and situations.
- Utilizes effective communication skills to establish rapport and credibility with Project personnel, supervisors, section staff, and other contacts.
- Develops charts, graphs, and presentation material for reports and briefings.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license at time of appointment.
- Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes:
- Identifying and resolving administrative problems and recommending improvements in administrative practices.
- Applying knowledge of travel regulations such as Joint Travel Regulations to process travel orders and vouchers.
- Utilizing office automation hardware and software to create briefings, charts, graphs, and documents.
- OR
Education:
One full year of graduate level education in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position, such as Business Administration. - OR Combination of
Education and Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide total months of experience by 12 and total graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18, then add the two percentages. - Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes:
- Assisting with identifying and resolving administrative problems and recommending improvements in administrative practices.
- Responding to correspondence, visitors, and phone calls.
- Utilizing office automation hardware and software to create briefings, charts, graphs, and documents.
- OR
Education:
A half year (9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary, such as Business Administration. - OR Combination of
Education and Experience:
Computed percentage of requirements is at least 100% (months of experience ÷ 12 + graduate semester hours ÷
9). - Specialized Experience GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes:
- Responding to correspondence, visitors, or phone calls.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, to complete assignments.
- OR
Education:
Four years of education above high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college or university. - OR Combination of
Education and Experience:
Computed percentage of requirements is at least 100% (months of experience ÷ 12 + semester hours beyond two years ÷ 60). - Time in Grade Requirements
- GS‑07:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of federal service at GS‑06. - GS‑06:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of federal service at GS‑05.

Education:
Foreign credentials must be evaluated by a private organization and deemed equivalent to an accredited U.S. program, or full credit must be granted for courses at a U.S. accredited institution.
