This is a key role within the organization, and compensation reflects the level of responsibility and impact.

At Columbia River Health, we believe healthcare should feel as good as it is effective- compassionate, consistent, and deeply connected to the community we serve.

We are seeking a highly thoughtful, perceptive, and proactive individual to serve as both an Executive Assistant to the CEO and Communications Lead for the organization. This is not a traditional administrative role—it is a key position that helps shape how CRH operates, communicates, and shows up in the world.

What This Role Really Is

This role is a guardian of time, tone, and experience
.

You will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO - protecting priorities, preparing for what’s ahead, and ensuring that communication, meetings, and initiatives are thoughtful and well-executed.

At the same time, you will help tell the story of CRH — strengthening our connection to the community through outreach, events and communication.

This role also carries a unique responsibility: helping ensure that the experience of CRH feels consistent, warm, and aligned — from the front door to community events to internal communications.

When this role is working well, everything feels more organized, more thoughtful, and more “us.”

Key Responsibilities Executive Support & CEO Partnership
  • Manage and protect the CEO's time, priorities, and focus
  • Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up for meetings (board, leadership, community)
  • Draft emails, updates, and communications on behalf of the CEO
  • Ensure the CEO is fully prepared for meetings (context, people, objectives, materials)
  • Act as an extension of the CEO in coordinating communication, priorities, and follow-through across leadership and governance
  • Serve as a trusted sounding board—able to notice, flag, and thoughtfully elevate concerns or opportunities
Board Relations & Governance Support
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Coordinate all board and committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, and materials preparation
  • Ensure board members are well-informed, prepared, and supported
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness in all board interactions
  • Support follow-up and tracking of board action items and priorities
  • Help ensure board communications reflect clarity, alignment, and respect for governance roles
Communication & Storytelling
  • Lead CRH’s community-facing communication efforts (social media, local media, storytelling)
  • Identify and share meaningful stories that reflect CRH’s impact and values
  • Ensure messaging is consistent, clear, and aligned with CRH’s mission and tone
Community Engagement & Events
  • Plan and execute key events (e.g., annual community appreciation BBQ, fundraising initiatives)
  • Identify opportunities for CRH to engage, contribute, and be visible in the community
  • Build relationships with local partners, organizations, and media outlets
  • Ensure events reflect a high level of thoughtfulness, warmth, and professionalism
Experience & Environment Oversight
  • Maintain a consistent, welcoming, and polished experience across the organization
  • Notice and address gaps in environment, presentation, and flow (inside and outside the clinic)
  • Help create systems and standards that elevate the overall patient and staff experience
  • Ensure seasonal or event-based elements (e.g., holiday décor) feel cohesive, warm, and aligned
Operational Awareness & Initiative
  • Anticipate needs and solve problems proactively
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest thoughtful, practical solutions
  • Help connect dots across departments to support alignment and flow
  • Step in where needed to keep things moving smoothly—without overstepping
Who You Are

You are someone who combines strong judgment, warmth, and quiet confidence
.

  • You notice what others miss and care about how things feel, not just how they function
  • You are proactive, but respectful of boundaries—you know when to act and when to ask
  • You are calm…
