Education And Work Experience- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - Work/Professional
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years office or administrative support. - Understanding of risk management and insurance claims process preferred.
- Understanding of current DOT records and testing requirements preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Requires strong ability with Microsoft Office (including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs, including proprietary Salvation Army programs, with basic training.
- Must successfully complete Decision Driving Safety Test before driving for The Salvation Army and annually recertify as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
To perform a wide variety of responsible and complex administrative duties for the department and department director; to coordinate functions in support of the department’s goals and objectives; to provide information and assistance to The Salvation Army’s corps, centers, vendors, and risk management personnel.

- Ability to communicate effectively with the field units, THQ, and outside vendors.
- Ability to interact with co-workers, management, leadership, and the general public in a positive, productive manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity of information.
- Ability to present oneself in a professional manner.
- Responsible for claims management for all Division locations.
- Act as the primary liaison for property, general liability, and auto insurance claims, with THQ, Sedgwick, and the field.
- Review and track property, general liability, and auto loss claims, working with local units, and following The Salvation Army and Sedgwick processes.
- Follow-through with various internal offices such as THQ Risk Management as well as external partners such as appraisers, contractors, and insurance adjusters.
- Process contracts for insurance repairs, following The Salvation Army approval policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from field, contractors, insurance adjusters, and others regarding status of a claim, or payment or reimbursement status.
- Reconcile claims for completion of all work, invoices, and reimbursements.
