As a Nursery Logistics Assistant, you'll support daily operations, help drive team success, and ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences. You'll work closely with the Office Manager, nursery crew, and loading teams to manage shipments and deliver results that make a difference.

What You'll Do As a Nursery Logistics Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Reviewing upcoming plant orders, scheduling shipments, and preparing Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping paperwork. Contacting customers to confirm delivery details, quantities, varieties, addresses, and site unloading readiness. Coordinating pickup and delivery timing with trucking carriers, requesting freight quotes, and tracking open shipments. Working directly with nursery, boxing, and loading crews to ensure plants are pulled, counted, palletized, and ready for pickup.

Verifying final pallet counts, weights, seal numbers, and driver signatures upon pickup, and updating internal logs and records.

What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in administrative, customer service, shipping, warehouse, logistics, or nursery/agricultural fields is a plus. Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and comfortable with basic math (weights, dates, plant counts). Professional communication skills via phone and email with a friendly, customer-focused approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to quickly learn internal shipping software.
