Scope of PositionThe Program Assistant supports the camp’s mission and daily operations by fostering Christian faith, discipleship, and positive relationships with campers and staff. This role provides supervision, encouragement, and accountability to assigned staff, including leading weekly devotions, submitting evaluations, and modeling Christ-like behavior. The Program Assistant actively participates in camp programs, ensures safety and policy compliance, completes required documentation, and assists with medical coordination when needed.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, supporting staff care initiatives, and performing other duties as assigned by camp leadership.
- Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Have a valid Driver’s License.
- At least 2 seasons of summer camp experience or 1 year in equivalent youth work experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Capable of obtaining Oregon Food Handlers card.
- Capable of obtaining AED, Red Cross or equivalent CPR and First Aid certification.

- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards at all times.
- Foster and nurture Christian faith and discipleship in visible, fruitful ways to, and with staff and campers.
- Provide supervision, support, and motivation to all staff.
- Lead a weekly devotion with staff assigned to your care.
- Coordinate with the Nurse and leadership team for possible medical transportation as needed. May be asked to drive or accompany hospital transport of campers or staff.
