Position: Child Protective Services (CPS) Worker (Social Service Specialist 1)
Location: Tillamook

* One year of Human Services related experience.
** Or
* ** Completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency, or
* Two years of Human Services related experience.
** Or
* ** One year of Human Services related experience and related training, coursework, or certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency.
* Proficiency in writing detailed reports, including conclusions and recommended actions, with minimal spelling or grammar issues.
* Experience engaging with children and families under time-sensitive and challenging circumstances, to gather information and make informed decisions.
* Experience communicating complex information to families, colleagues, and community partners in a clear and concise manner.
* Experience managing time, staying organized and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
* Experience in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavior management.
* Experience adopting trauma-informed practices that consider individual needs, safety, trust-building, and cultural sensitivity.

* Occasional travel is required for attending meetings, trainings, and other case related activities.

** Monday – Friday from 8 am – 5 pm PT**; hours may fluctuate based on service needs.
* This work requires the ability to prioritize work related to child safety and respond quickly to emergent situations.
* Occasional, compensated overtime may be required, including evening and weekend work.  Address sensitive issues related to trauma, abuse, substance use, and crises.
* Engage with a diverse range of individuals, including those who have experienced trauma and may face challenges with emotional regulation.
