Jasper Mountain is a treatment family, and a place of hope for children and parents who search for answers. Since 1982, we have been growing and learning along with the children and families we serve. Jasper Mountain is many things but there is nothing quite like it anywhere!
Jasper Mountain provides a continuum of programs that meets the needs of emotionally disturbed children and their families. Services include an intensive residential treatment program with a therapeutic school, a short-term residential center, treatment foster care program, community based program and crisis response services.
What We Do:
With a primary mission to offer help and hope for children and families, Jasper Mountain has developed specializations in areas such as attachment issues, sexual reactivity, anti-social and violent behavior and treating severe trauma. We have experience with adopted children including foreign adoptions and subsequent challenges for parents. All programs are guided by the agency philosophy to treat the intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of the child – thus treating the whole person.
Jasper Mountain currently works with children from around the United States and is available for private placements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing input for and implementing treatment plans and direct supervision for the children in agency programs.
Creating the treatment milieu. Attention should be given to cultural differences among children and making those differences a positive part of the treatment environment.
One-to-one and group interaction with the children.
Handling activities, recreation, crafts, and other aspects of the program.
Assisting with functional aspects of the program, such as assisting with meals.
Initiate interventions to address treatment objectives and ensure safety. All interventions are to be consistent with agency policy and CPI guidelines.
Documenting shifts using the agency’s computerized logging system.
Other duties may be assigned, including medication administration.
Crisis Responders go to community homes and resolve crisis situations
Crisis staff also may be needed to transport a child to crisis respite care Compensation:
Treatment Team Status:
Starts at $25.86/hour and increases depending on experience and education.
Treatment Team Aide Status:
Starts at $23.43/hour and increases depending on experience and education.
Treatment Team Tech Status:
Starts at $22.30/hour and increases depending on experience and education.
Schedule:
Full-time and part-time available
Shifts are 4/10s and run 7:00 A.M.
-5:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M.
- 11:00 P.M.
Note:
Staff meeting attendance generally required for position, 1:30 P.M.
- 3:00 P.M. Monday afternoons.

Treatment Team Status:
Treatment Team members possess a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field. Preferably they also have experience and training in child abuse and child development in addition to one year experience with a social service agency (serving children is a plus).Treatment Team Aide Status:
Treatment Team Aides are prospective Treatment Team Members who are working on their degree and are actively in school and have completed 2 years. Such employees can be regularly scheduled with an Aide status, which is compensated at a rate below that of Treatment Team Members. When the degree requirements are met, the Aide may be promoted to regular Treatment Team Member status.
Treatment Team Tech Status:
Treatment Team Techs have experience working as a direct support professional or experience in a social service agency, preferably in residential care at an agency serving children and families. They may have a HS diploma or are in the freshman, sophomore level of a Bachelor level program.
