Rebar Estimator

West Wind Reinforcing, a steel reinforcing placement contractor, has an immediate opening for a full time Estimator at our office in Mayfield, Kentucky.

• Minimum 3 years construction estimating experience;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed with an understanding of fundamentals in estimating and project controls;
• Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities;
• Fundamental understanding of construction phasing and organization of building components;
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating;
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team;
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients;
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, including applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
• Experience using Bluebeam.

• Receive requests directly from customers and communicate effectively to ensure customer expectations are met;
• Analyse project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work;
• Conduct detailed cost estimates for labor and materials;
• Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals to clients;
• Revise bids as needed when addendums and/or new plans become available;
• Provide ongoing support by reviewing change orders.
