DPI Staffing is seeking an experienced Field Crew Lead for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Brooks, OR, overseeing crews working on wireless cell towers, structural steel, and other construction projects.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, full-time; schedule may vary based on project needs. Overtime available/required as needed; travel and extended stays may be required.

Pay: $35.00–$45.00/ hr (DOE)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise field crews during tower erection, structural assembly, welding, rigging, hoisting, and installation
  • Coordinate daily assignments, materials, equipment, and project schedules
  • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, site plans, and scopes of work
  • Ensure work meets project specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements
  • Enforce OSHA, company, and jobsite safety requirements, including fall protection and PPE
  • Conduct daily safety and equipment inspections and stop work when unsafe conditions exist
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel on project progress and site issues
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, photos, inspections, time sheets, and closeout documents
  • Operate and oversee the safe use of cranes, hoists, forklifts, man-lifts, vehicles, and other construction equipment
  • Monitor job progress, productivity, quality, and project milestones
  • Train and mentor crew members while leading by example
  • Maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and job site cleanliness
  • Identify project issues and assist with solutions to keep work on schedule and within budget
Requirements
  • 3+ years of construction experience required; telecommunications experience preferred
  • Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with rigging, hoisting, tower construction, structural steel, or welding
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and welding symbols
  • Knowledge of AWS D1.1 structural welding standards preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA requirements
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Tower Climbing/Rescue and Train-the-Trainer certifications preferred
  • Forklift and man-lift certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record required
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines
  • Able to travel and work away from home for extended periods as required
  • Able to work at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
  • Able to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work up to 12-hour days when required
  • Comfortable working around moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and other construction-related hazards
