South Coast Family Dentistry – Part‑Time Dental Hygienist

South Coast Family Dentistry is looking for an experienced RDH to join our team in Coos Bay or Bandon, Oregon. We offer a 3‑day work week and a signing bonus of $5,000.

We have 6 full‑time doctors and 6 full‑time hygienists. Our hygienists enjoy a 3‑day work week. We maintain a busy schedule Monday through Friday 7 am‑7 pm and Saturdays 8 am‑6 pm, while fostering a lively, collaborative atmosphere with compassionate and supportive staff ensuring patients receive high‑quality, consistent care.

$62–$67 per hour. Production‑based compensation gives an average annual income of $95 K on a 33‑hour week.

• Licensed dental hygienist, Basic life support

• RDH license from the Oregon Board of Dentistry
• Current Health Care Provider BLS card
• Preferred:
  Oregon Radiology, Local Anesthesia, and Nitrous Oxide permits

As a Part‑Time Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in our practice by providing high‑quality preventive dental care to our patients. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining optimal oral health and enhancing the overall patient experience. You will work closely with our dental team to educate patients about their oral health and assist in treatment planning.

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
• Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories, dental histories, and vital signs
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X‑rays) as needed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained
• Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and best practices
