Expanded Function Dental Assistant - Relief - Part Time

Join our team as a Relief Expanded Function Dental Assistant, providing essential clinical support in a community-focused health center.

• Maintaining and updating patient records and vital signs
• Conducting X-ray procedures, including panoramic and cephalometric radiographs
• Recording periodontal charting and preparing instruments for patient exams
• Performing preventative periodontal care such as polishing and fluoride treatments
• Providing oral hygiene education and counseling
• Assisting with infection control protocols, sterilization, and autoclave maintenance
• Supporting orthodontic procedures, including record collection and retainer fabrication
• Managing department workflow, acting as a liaison, training staff, and overseeing daily operations
• Performing duties aligned with regulatory standards and assisting with other assigned tasks

• High school diploma or GED
• EFDA certification within 90 days of employment
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Preferred bilingual skills (English/Spanish)
• Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and dental materials
• Manual dexterity and proficiency with Electronic Dental Records and Microsoft Office
