Expanded Function Dental Assistant - Relief

Join our team as a Relief Expanded Function Dental Assistant, supporting a community-focused health center providing comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

• Maintaining and updating patient records, including medical history and vital signs
• Performing complete X‑ray procedures, including panoramic and intraoral radiographs
• Assisting with periodontal charting, instrument setup, and preparing materials for exams
• Providing preventative care such as polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and assisting with orthodontic procedures
• Supporting infection control protocols, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining operatory cleanliness
• Managing department flow, acting as a liaison, and training staff when needed
• Ensuring clinical duties meet regulatory standards and assisting with other assigned tasks

• High school diploma or GED
• EFDA certification within 90 days of employment
• BLS certification within 90 days
• Registration as a Surgical Technologist preferred if assisting in the operating room
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
• Knowledge of dental terminology, materials, infection control, and electronic records
• Strong manual dexterity and professional interaction skills
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and basic computer skills
