ABOUT THE JOB
The operator in this position executes project/product diagrams for Product Development, Field Sales and Field Operations Organizations by providing plans, renderings, details, modified standards drawings and other requests to customers and branches. Responsible for generating plans associated with company-wide fleet standards for the product catalog, including single page sales type pieces showing floor plans with descriptions for use as a sales/marketing tool.
WHATYOU'LL BE DOING
Prepare, update, and revise modular building plan sets throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and modify drawings for modular buildings, ramps, stairs, foundations, pads, piers, and other company products.
Coordinate with sales teams, job coordinators, and production personnel to ensure accurate and timely completion of drawings.
Use Revit and AutoCAD to create floor plans, layouts, elevations, and customer-requested design revisions.
Create basic renderings and visual presentations to support customer proposals and project planning.
Support construction projects by providing drafting assistance and resolving drawing-related questions during production and installation.
- Provide technical support on building and ADA codes in addition to utilizing them for accurate, practical and compliant floor plans.
Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and technical documentation. Manage multiple drafting assignments while communicating project status and timelines to internal stakeholders.
Provide technical support to internal teams regarding drawings, plan revisions, and drafting standards.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSWorking knowledge of Revit required
, basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Architecture experience preferred.
Associate degree in CAD Drafting, Architectural Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field preferred.
1–3 years of drafting experience in construction, architectural, manufacturing, or modular building environments preferred.
- Experience with modular construction, wood-framed structures, or field construction is a plus.
- Willingness to learn building code requirements, ADA standards, and company drafting practices.
Travel:
Occasional as required to assembly location(s), branch offices, customer sites for training and development purposes.
