Join Our Team as a Family Practice Physician – Make a Difference in Patient Care
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Practice Physician to provide comprehensive primary care services in a dynamic clinical setting. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to serve patients of all ages, with a focus on women's health and obstetrics, contributing significantly to community well-being. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient family medicine services, including prenatal care, deliveries, and women's health procedures such as IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, and colposcopies.
- Manage a patient load of approximately 16-18 individuals daily utilizing Cerner Community Works EMR.
- Perform a variety of procedures, including suturing, joint injections, toe nail removals, excisions, biopsies, castings, and splinting.
- Participate in OB call duties at a 1:3 ratio, with accountability for inpatient obstetric care when needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of MDs, DOs, NPs, and PAs to deliver exemplary healthcare.
- Entrusted with excellent clinical skills, especially in women's health and obstetrics.
- Demonstrated competency in obstetric procedures, including at least 10 deliveries in the past 24 months and 30 cesarean sections.
- Ability to handle a diverse patient population.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred Oregon medical license and DEA registration.
Certifications:
- ACLS and NRP certifications.
- Experience in obstetrics, including prenatal and delivery care.
- Willingness to perform a broad range of procedures relevant to outpatient OB/GYN.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- 2+ years of experience in a family practice or OB/GYN setting.
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR is advantageous.
- Credentialing process typically takes 3-6 months.
- Active Oregon license and DEA are preferred but not mandatory at submission.
- Availability for a flexible Monday-Friday schedule, with 4 days of 10-hour shifts (7:00 am - 5:00 pm).
- Willingness to participate in OB call rotations (every 3rd night).
- Cover travel and mileage expenses as applicable; local candidates eligible for reimbursement.
- Must complete all vaccinations and certifications per clinical standards.
