Job Summary

The Assistant Professor in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Genetics at The University of Kansas Medical Center provides high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care within their area of specialization. In addition, this role actively contributes to the education and training of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, or other trainees, and participates in departmental and divisional academic activities.

Job Duties
  • Provide patient care in ambulatory clinic, inpatient consults and on-call services.
  • Model best practices for diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and conditions.
  • Complete appropriate documentation of patient encounters for medical follow-up and timely billing.
  • Instruct medical students, residents and fellows in clinical and classroom settings.
  • Coach and guide learners appropriate to their education level.
  • Evaluate learner's progress.
  • Contribute to various research activities of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Genetics, including trials or grant funded studies.
  • Participate in Division, Department, and School faculty activities as allowed by schedule constraints.

Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
    Board certified/board eligible in Endocrinology.
  • Required Documents:
    Resume/CV, Cover letter.
  • If selected as a final candidate, may be required to complete the Association of American Universities Representations and Warranties document and sign a release of records for background checks.
