Practice Description

Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital is recruiting for a Canadian Royal College certified General Pathologist, or board certified anatomic and clinical pathologist (AP/CP), for a three‑person practice.

Our group performs approximately 8,500 surgical pathology cases per year. Primary responsibilities will include general surgical pathology and cytology case sign out and clinical pathology case sign out (e.g. peripheral blood smears, bone marrow biopsies) as well as transfusion medicine and local laboratory oversight. There is also the opportunity for medical directorship of rural area labs. Autopsies are not currently performed at this site.

The ideal candidate will have recent clinical pathology experience, with strong skills in surgical pathology and laboratory diagnostics, including transfusion medicine and hematopathology. The candidate will need to be comfortable with independent practice in a…
