Position: High School Advanced Math Teacher (1 period per day)-Hybrid
Location: Lowell

High School Advanced Math Teacher (1 period per day) – Hybrid

Lowell School District 71, Lowell Junior/Senior High School, Lowell, Oregon.

Position Type:
Part‑Time. Work Year: 177‑day contract.

Start Date:

August 22, 2026. Salary: $6,536.57 to $12,634.43 per year (pro‑rated monthly).

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver instruction for one period per day, 3 days remote and 1 day in person.
  • Use data to set learning goals, assess progress, and adjust instruction.
  • Collaborate with professional learning communities, multidisciplinary teams, and support staff.
  • Provide IEP support, maintain records, and keep student information confidential.
  • Communicate progress to students and parents.
  • Integrate district‑approved technology into lessons and record‑keeping.
  • Maintain classroom management practices that engage students.
  • Participate in staff, academic team, child study, in‑service, and curriculum meetings.
  • Establish and annually review a professional growth plan with the administrator.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Oregon Teaching License to teach advanced mathematics grades 7‑12.
  • Experience planning and implementing evidence‑based programs aligned with Common Core and district goals.
  • Strong instructional skills to guide student learning and adjust based on assessments.
  • Ability to model “Smarter Balanced” summative assessment.
  • Capacity to create and maintain a classroom environment with high expectations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of IEPs, 504 plans, and related student plans.
  • Organized, flexible, and committed to ongoing professional growth.
  • Ability to use technology effectively in teaching.
