This position will teach 8 hours per day, every other day (Day 1's of the high school schedule).
This position is anticipated to teach College and Career 1 (2 sections) and Financial Literacy (1 section) for grades 9 and 12.

Position Summary TeacherThe employee is primarily responsible for effective teaching and learning of the assigned subject(s) following district approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student's readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. Employee may teach in a variety of elementary and/or secondary educational, individual or team teaching, settings.
PositionSummary College & Career
College & Career is a semester‑long course designed to build a strong foundation for students to be successful in high school, on‑track for graduation, and prepared for their futures. This course is centered around three main concepts: community building and engagement, personal and academic success, and college and career exploration. By closing knowledge and opportunity gaps, this is a space for students to envision and explore a multitude of career pathways and post‑secondary options.
Students will be nurtured and guided as they discover their strengths and interests, develop their personalities, and take confident steps towards their goals.

LicenseRequirement
Must hold or be able to obtain Oregon Educator licensure with a Subject Matter Endorsement specific to the content area taught in this position (i.e. must hold biology endorsement if teaching biology).

Job Group: Licensed Wage Placement Table- Annual Salary Range ): $58,788 - $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education, experience.
- This salary range reflects 1.0 FTE. Actual salary is prorated based on FTE and start date.
- Stipend(s) are pro‑rated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment.
As a licensed employee, you are eligible to receive:
- A stipend of $2,500 if certified by NBPTS (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards).
- A stipend of $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD.
