POSITION SUMMARYThe Special Education Life Skills Teacher serves as a specialist for students who experience a significant impact to their education achievement due to a disability, and who require support services in order to access and benefit from general education instruction.
* A degree in Special Education is not required. Jefferson County School District 509-J offers a program to support teachers in obtaining their Special Education certification.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Valid TSPC License with proper endorsements or ability to obtain prior to position start date.
- Have standards of moral character as required of all Oregon licensed educators (OAR ).
- Masters of Arts in Teaching.
- 3 years of experience teaching in a public school setting.
- 190-day contract
- Salary: $52,317-$102,607
- $10,000 Stipend
- Family medical, dental and vision insurance
- Sick leave and Personal/Emergency leave
- JCSD 509-J pays the employee's share (6%) of the Public Employees Retirement System Contribution
