Job Description & How to Apply Below
Step into a dynamic role as a Special Education teacher where you'll make a direct impact supporting students with unique learning needs. We are seeking dedicated, onsite professionals to collaborate with school teams and provide essential educational services in vibrant, supportive environments. Currently, there are two immediate opportunities-one working with a smaller, higher-needs caseload, and one with a larger group of learners.
A possible third position may also become available.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for inclusive education, strong case management skills, and the flexibility to adapt strategies for students in both one-on-one and small group settings. The focus is on providing in-person support tailored to your students-virtual services will not meet the district's needs.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working in K-12 settings, ideally with both mild and intensive support needs
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 5 students with higher behavioral needs (Condon), or 25 students in 1:1/small group settings (Sherman)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective case management and collaboration
- Genuine commitment to fostering academic and emotional growth for every student
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to document, assess, and report student progress
- Willingness to work exclusively onsite
- Deliver specially designed instruction and interventions aligned to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and advocacy for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with all regulations and student plans
- Develop supportive relationships and provide mentorship within the school community
