Multiple Positions

Elementary/Middle School Summer School Instructional Assistant Positions
- July 6 to August 6, 2026

4 Days per Week - 5 Hours per Day (7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)

Job Title: Instructional Aides (Multiple Positions Available)

Duration: 5 weeks (Elementary/Middle Schools)

Location: Various Locations (Grades K-8)

Job Summary: We are hiring multiple Instructional Aides to support teachers and students in our summer school programs across grades K-8. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers, facilitating learning activities, and providing support to ensure the success of our summer school curriculum. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational experience of students during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support:
    Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and maintaining a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement and achievement.
  • Student Support:
    Provide individualized support to students as needed, including academic assistance, behavior management, and social-emotional support, to help them succeed in their summer school coursework.
  • Materials Preparation:
    Prepare instructional materials, resources, and equipment for lessons and activities, ensuring that all materials are organized and readily accessible to teachers and students.
  • Field Trip Assistance:
    Accompany students and teachers on field trips, ensuring the safety and well‑being of students while facilitating educational experiences outside the classroom.
  • Technology Assistance:
    Support teachers and students in navigating technology tools and platforms used for instruction, including computers, tablets, and educational software.
  • Data Collection:
    Assist teachers in collecting and recording student data, including attendance, participation, and academic progress, to monitor student achievement and inform instructional decisions.
  • Collaboration:

    Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and fellow instructional aides to coordinate activities, share resources, and promote a collaborative learning environment.
  • Safety and Supervision:
    Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students, adhering to school policies and procedures related to safety, behavior, and emergency protocols.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to take on various tasks as needed
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and success
Additional Information
  • This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer school program (5 weeks for elementary/middle schools).
  • Instructional Aides may be assigned to work with students across different grade levels (K-8) based on program needs.
  • Some positions may require the ability to travel and participate in off‑site field trips with students.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with current contract or experience and training.
