Evaluation Teacher Leader – Terrebonne Community School – Stipend Position – Open to current RSD staff only

Salary: $1,876 to $1,989 Stipend

Job Summary

The evaluation teacher leader position is designed to provide support and assistance toward meeting the performance plan goals at the assigned school. The role involves facilitating and collaborating with the principal and building teams to drive school improvement, providing training opportunities to develop leadership skills, and working with other teacher leaders to lead shared initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a member of the principal’s school leadership team.
  • Lead to create a positive school culture.
  • Participate in systemic change and transformations necessary for school improvement to benefit students and improve achievement.
  • Participate in leadership development opportunities such as CLT planning, curriculum implementation, and Equity Collaborative as scheduled.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders about school leadership meetings, performance plan goals, and strategies for achievement.
  • Lead and support CLTs: plan meetings with administrative support; track building CLT work and progress; organize and post assessments, calendars, data, and progress.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and events outside of the regular contract day at the school and district level.
  • Report team progress to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school scorecard and SLGs.
  • Assist in school-based initiatives such as RTI, CLTs, Scorecard, instructional practices, attendance, and PBIS.
  • Be available to attend 1.5 days of on‑site training in August to prepare for in‑service week.
  • Participate in District Equity Collaborative.
  • Partner with the principal to ensure licensed employees meet standards of professional practice for licensed educators.
  • Support colleagues with navigation and use of TED.
  • Contribute to district evaluation team discussions and plans for enhancing RSD educator effectiveness system.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong depth of knowledge in instructional practice and teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to collaborative learning teams that grow professionally to meet the needs of all students.
  • Commitment to learning about and using equitable practices in the classroom.
  • Commitment to professional reflection and continuous professional growth.
  • Positive leadership skills and abilities.
  • Strong technical skills in Google Apps for Education and Canvas.
  • Successful in maintaining organizational systems.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Facilitating small groups.
  • Reliable team member.
  • Must hold a valid Oregon Teaching License.
Hourly Breakdown

Monthly leadership meetings (scheduled by building) – approximately 3 occurrences, 10 hours total.

August Training & Planning Sessions – Building Leadership Meeting (4 hrs), Partners in Practice (4 hrs) from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Partners in Practice Meetings – five 1.5‑hour after‑school meetings from 4:15 PM – 6:00 PM.

Various leadership duties directed by building principal (e.g., subt planning, building‑level committees, family events) – 10 hours.

Attend evaluation leader meetings with district – 3 hours.
