POSITION SUMMARY
The Graduation Coach supports achievement by coordinating parent involvement, family support activities, and community outreach programs for at‑risk students. He/she assists in planning and implementation of programs, monitors, communicates and evaluates activities and services for parents, school staff, and community partners. Graduation coaches act as case managers for at‑risk students, providing support or directing students to appropriate community or school resources to keep the student in the learning program enrolled.
- Complete two years of study at an institution of higher education; or
- Obtain an associate’s (or higher) degree; or
- Can be TSPC licensed teacher
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Participation in district-sponsored in‑service activities
- Principles and practices of planning, needs assessment, management, problem solving, group process and evaluation
COMPENSATION
- Wage
Schedule:
$30.52–$37.50/hr - Work days: 180 (10 months)
- Personal days, Sick days
- JCSD 509-J pays the employee’s share (6%) of the Public Employees Retirement System Contribution
