Director For Tourism Development

L'Office de Tourisme Intercommunal le Nord Guadeloupe is looking for a new director to develop a solid tourism development strategy in the North Grande-Terre region, through the five communes (Morne-à-l'eau, le Moule, Petit-Canal, Port-Louis, and Anse-Bertrand).

You will ensure the direction of the association, the elaboration and implementation of the tourism development strategy of the territory, the support of local professionals in direct connection with the president of the tourism office, its board of directors, the community of agglomération of the North Grande-Terre, and the attractiveness commission.

1. Ensure the direction of the tourism office:

• Supervise the team composing the tourism office.
• Realize, follow, and execute the budget.
• Animate the board of directors.
• Ensure the good functioning of the structure, in connection with the President of the tourism office.

2. Elaboration of an ambitious tourism development strategy:

• Strategy of promotion of the territory based on the factors of attractiveness of the territory, demand, professionals, local population
• Strategy of development of the tourist offer in connection with the assets of the territory: activities of discovery in the wild nature, natural and cultural heritage, unusual places of the territory, agritourism
• Animation of the partnership relations with, notably, the neighboring territories, the Tourism Committee of the Iles de Guadeloupe, the major authorities (department, region) and other organizations (Atout France, CCI, PNG)
• Associate the implementation of this action plan with a 360° communication strategy
• Develop the revenues of the office

3. Accompany the professionals of the sector to enrich the tourist offer and extend the duration of stay

• Strengthen the proximity with the local professionals in a possible sanitary and economic particular context.
• Concertation and regular exchanges with the members
• Conduct a regular watch allowing to find new tourist products

Higher education in tourism, solid knowledge in tourist marketing

– Proven experience in a similar director position – Ability to rally and manage– Rigor, capacity of listening, adaptation, relational ease, and creativity

Compensation according to the profile. Start as soon as possible.

Occasional availability on weekends and evenings, occasional trips outside the department
